You’ll also learn how to safely look after and charge LiPo, LiHv and Li-ion batteries, giving you all the knowledge you need to charge any battery that you will come across in FPV.

We’ll take a look at performaning basic maintenance tasks like changing propellers and cleaning your drone. Along with how traditional FPV drones require a more hands on approach to repairs and maintenance.

We’ll then take a look at Betaflight, including the new web configurator compatibility. We’ll go through everything you need to know to set up your new BNF drone and get it ready for your first flight.

Here, you’ll learn how your radio systems work and how to optimise everything so that you can keep your connection stronger for longer. We’ll cover how different antennas are optimised and how the environment affects our signal performance.

You’ll learn how to optimise the signal performance of your DJI FPV Drone, DJI Air units and ELRS radio link. Learning what the on-screen-display elements are telling us and what that means in the real world.

This module dives into the fundamental difference between flying in Normal mode vs Manual/Acro mode.
This is a vital step in understanding how to fly your drone in manual mode. This alone will speed up the transition from Normal to Manual mode significantly. Learning these fundmantals first will make everything else make sense.

Before we get flying, it’s important to talk about rules and regulations so that we can get our paperwork in order.

During ground school, we’ll take a look at how flying in a simulator can help you learn to fly more quickly whilst avoiding costly repair bills.

We’ll then explore how proper preflight checks only take a minute, but can save us from a potential disaster.
Making sure that our drone is airworthy before taking off, is a basic step towards of becoming a competent pilot.

Rates affect how the drone responds to your control inputs. In this module, you’ll learn what each of the values (max rate, centre sensitivity and expo) mean, and how they affect how the drone feels to fly. Along with rate suggestions to get you going.

In this module, you’ll learn how to fly in manual mode using a step-by-step process designed to teach you all the necessary skills in the right order. We’ll progress from hovering to more complex flight patterns like the figure 8. Flight school was designed to keep you progressing and developing your skills with each exercise.

There is also a detailed flight manoeuvre practice sheet so that you can practice everything at the field easily and effectively.

Here you’ll learn all about the effects of flying at different camera angles and how they affect more than just the speed you fly at.

The camera feed is our only reference when flying, so it’s vital that we understand how changing its angle affects how we fly.

Understanding exactly where you should be looking as you fly around will boost your confidence and flight precision. There’s no need to guess when you can use the visual anchoring techniques that we’re going to learn.

Having a full understanding of your environment and good spatial awareness as you fly will prevent sudden surprises which can lead to crashes.

You’ll learn how to stay one step ahead and set up for success at each new flying location.

Here you’ll learn how to successfully fly through gaps and in close proximity to things.
Taking a step-by-step approach here helps you to build confidence to fly through smaller gaps and cruise over the tops of trees with complete control.

In this module, we’ll move on to more advanced flying manoeuvres like orbits, low-level flight, dives, split S, powerloops, upset recovery, and much more. Again, breaking down each manoeuvre step-by-step so that you can build confidence and control.

This is where we build on the foundations of flight school to push the envelope and broaden your flight capabilities.

Then you’ll learn how to chase a subject in various scenarios, and how different movements with our drone creates different feelings through our footage.

We’ll then head to the beach to cover flying over water and how to do so safely, so that you can capture stunning footage and get the drone back every time.

In this module, you’ll learn all about hand-launching DJI drones like the Avata 2, and traditional FPV drones, like 5-inch drones, and smaller.

You’ll start by learning how to fly line of sight, before moving on to the actual hand-launching process.

Here we’ll deep dive into all things cameras. You’ll learn what each of the settings are, how they affect your image, and how to optimise them for the best results.
ISO, Shutter Speed, White Balance, Frame Rate, Aspect Ratio etc. All will become clear as we progress through the module.

I’ll then show you my recommended settings for DJI drones/Air units, DJI action cameras, and GoPro cameras. Along with running through the user interface for each system so you know exactly what to do.

That way you can nail those camera settings for world-class results.

In this module we’ll cover setting up your action camera on your drone making sure it’s secure and set up for a successful recording.

In this module you’ll learn all about the different stabilisation options you have for your FPV footage. We’ll cover in-camera stabilisation plus stabilising using Gryoflow.

I’ll run you through a full Gyroflow tutorial so you know the ins and outs of the software and what to change for the best results.

In this module we’ll deep dive into the cinematography side of FPV. Everything from lighting to composition. To how to pick out and interact with features in your landscape that will take your footage to the next level.
How you fly has a massive impact on the end result, let’s do it with purpose and intent.

Let’s talk about the side of flying drones that most people ignore.

Anxiety can negatively affect how you fly, we’ll look at the main causes and how to address them so that you can fly with confidence.

In this module I’ll take you along as I go on a full day flying at 3 epic locations. I’ll share all my thoughts as I fly and how I set myself up for success at each location.

This module shows the real world implementaion of all the previous modules. That way you can see everything we’ve learned in action.

Here you’ll learn the importance of sound design. This is a concept that has a serious impact on the quality of your final video. It’s something that most people skip, but you’ll soon learn why it’s crutial to making a good video.

In this module I’ll teach you my entire process for editing FPV footage. Everything from setting up your project and cutting your clips, to advanced sound design and colour grading techniques which make your videos stand out for all the right reasons.

I’ll do this using Adobe Premiere Pro, but the techniques I use are transferrable to other video editing software.

In this module, I’ll show you how to use the included Premium Cinematic LUT Collection so that you know which LUTs to use where, and how to make the most out of them.

In this module, you’ll receive a challenge. This will help you to go out and put all of your newly learned skills to use.
